Peer Led Team Learning
Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) is an active-learning program offered in selected FIU courses. Students meet weekly in small workshop groups led by trained Peer Leaders who guide collaborative problem solving and course-related activities. New to PLTL registration?

Fall 2026 PLTL Registration
Before You Register Review the available PLTL sections before registering. Identify at least three sections that work with your schedule and verify the section number, day, time, and location. Section day codes: W = Wednesday, R = Thursday, F = Friday, and SAT = Saturday. If you opened LOADPLTL before your enrollment time and sections do not appear after enrollment opens, reopen LOADPLTL in a fresh browser tab. If needed, try a private/incognito window. If you are already in a registration queue, do not refresh or close the page. Having Trouble Registering? Do not submit another request unless the PLTL Office specifically instructs you to do so. Submitting the same issue through multiple channels does not provide priority. Current PLTL Courses Workshop sections are offered Wednesday through Saturday. You register for one section and normally attend that same section each week. Start Date shows the first day of PLTL Week 1. Your first workshop depends on the day of your registered section. Students with Sat Gavassa: General Biology I and General Biology II use the separate registration process provided through your professor. Do not use LOADPLTL to register for a Gavassa PLTL section. If registering for a section after the deadline, email the office directly.

Once enrollment opens for your PLTL course, select View Courses below. During high-traffic periods, you may be placed in a queue. The queue moves forward automatically. Do not refresh the page or close your browser while waiting.
After signing in, select the correct PLTL subject from the Category dropdown, then click Search. Before selecting Enroll Now, verify the section number, day, time, and location.

Registration Help & Common Issues
Select the issue that best matches what you are experiencing.
Page Will Not Load / 500 Server Error
If View Courses does not load or you receive a 500 / Server Error, reopen LOADPLTL in a fresh browser tab. If the error continues, try one private/incognito window.
If the problem continues, use the PLTL Registration Help & Enrollment Request and select 500 / Server Error.
If PLTL posts a system outage notice: follow the instructions in that notice. Registration times or procedures may change during a system-wide outage.
LOADPLTL Says I Am Already Enrolled
If you are currently enrolled as a student in a PLTL section for that subject and want another section, drop your current section before enrolling in another available section.
Not actually enrolled? If LOADPLTL says you are already enrolled but you are not currently enrolled as a student in that PLTL subject, do not drop anything. Use the PLTL Registration Help & Enrollment Request .
The Section I Want Is Full
Full PLTL sections cannot be overridden or reserved. Review the available sections and select another option that works with your schedule. Availability may change as students add or drop sections.
Do not submit a registration request solely to request a seat in a full section.
I Need to Enroll in Another PLTL Subject
If you are taking more than one course that offers PLTL, LOADPLTL may not allow registration for the additional PLTL subject. Once enrollment has opened for that subject, use the PLTL Registration Help & Enrollment Request and select the option for enrolling in another PLTL subject.
I Need to Drop or Switch Sections
During the first three weeks of the PLTL semester, you may drop your current section through LOADPLTL and enroll in another available section. Use the red DROP button shown above the section list.
Full sections cannot be overridden.
After the first three weeks, use the PLTL Registration Help & Enrollment Request for section-change assistance.
Confirm Your Enrollment
After registering, check your FIU email and Canvas. Confirm the correct PLTL subject, section number, day, time, and location. You normally attend that same section each week unless your registration is officially changed.
Canvas may take additional time to update. If LOADPLTL confirmed that your enrollment was successful, do not drop and re-register only because Canvas has not updated immediately.
